Without an account, your agent finds Zhihu answers through public search engines. If you switch it on, it reads full answers through your own Zhihu login. Off by default.

WHAT CAME BACK

The first three results from a real run on 2026-10-10, no account. Without a login each result carries the short preview the search engine shows; your agent can open the page for more.

These results come from public search engines, which limit how often anyone can ask. So Zhihu is searched when your agent asks for it by name (zhihu_search), not on every search. To read full answers, turn on the zhihu source with your own login, on your own machine: see Logged-in sites.

Install

TWO COMMANDS

uv tool install omniseek
claude mcp add omniseek -- omniseek

Python 3.11 or newer; uv installs it if you don't have it. Using Cursor, Codex, or another setup? See Install.

zhihu_search: Zhihu through public search-engine results, no account
zhihu: full answers through your own login (off by default)
